I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I brought my vehicle to the dealership because it is still under warranty and I was experiencing a problem that needed to be diagnosed. I trusted your technicians to identify the issue, but after paying nearly $400 for diagnostic testing, I was told that no problem could be found unless we pulled out the flooring and seats, which would cost me $1k.
Unfortunately, the issue still exists, leaving me with the same unresolved problem and a significant bill. It is frustrating to pay such a substantial amount without receiving any answers or a solution.
I expected a higher level of expertise and customer service from a Chevrolet dealership, especially considering the vehicle has fewer than 10,000 miles. Instead, I left feeling unheard and taken advantage of.
I hope this feedback encourages the dealership to reevaluate how customers are treated when legitimate concerns cannot be duplicated during a single visit. Customers should leave with confidence that every reasonable effort was made to identify and resolve the issue—not simply with an expensive invoice and the same unresolved problem.
Response from Coastal Cadillac
July 17, 2026Thank you for your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration surrounding your recent service visit. At Coastal Chevrolet Cadillac Nissan, we want every guest to drive away with complete confidence in our team.
Water leaks can be incredibly challenging to isolate. Our factory-trained technicians performed extensive exterior water testing on your vehicle, but because the source wasn't visible externally, the next diagnostic step to pinpoint the entry point requires removing the interior flooring and seats. We completely understand that this is a significant investment in technician labor time, and we hate that you left without a definitive answer.
We would welcome the chance to speak with you directly to see how we can better assist you and review your visit. Please reach out to our Service Manager so we can discuss this further.
